Deep Tissue Massage: In a Deep Tissue Massage, your therapist will use firm deep pressure that is adjusted to your individual comfort. The massage techniques are applied slowly, as they focus on releasing the tensions, adhesions, muscle spasms, scar tissue, and facial restrictions in areas of discomfort. You are encouraged to breathe right into the location where the therapist is working to assist the release of the tissue. Your feedback during the deep tissue massage is very important, let your therapist know if you would like more or less pressure.

When we work with you we find the depth of pressure that will support your body in letting go. At times a deep massage will be uncomfortable but should not hurt. If you can not relax into the intensity of the pressure please let your therapist know. There is a sweet spot when many clients say it hurts so good. You know we are working the area and resolving the tight spots in the musculature but you can relax deeply into the pressure, so your body can heal.
